Our Story

Fayetteville Young Life started in September 2020.
Since the very beginning we have been committed to creating a space for every kid. Throughout the past 5 years, we have had the incredible opportunity to host and meet just around 475 high schoolers from all across Cumberland County.

We have trained and placed 14 adult leaders who have been committed to coming alongside our friends and providing mentorship and direction in their lives. We have even seen 16 of our alumni go off to college, receive training, and be deployed as leaders in the communities of
their college towns — some of whom are now working for Young Life
full-time. Over the years, we’ve had the honor of getting to watch 44 of our high school friends say yes to Jesus, and many more lean into their faith with a desire to grow! The Lord is moving here in Fayetteville!
We are blown away every day that He invites us to be apart of it!

  • Preston Griffin

    FOUNDER + AREA DIRECTOR

    Preston is a chronic optimist, a girl dad, and a die-hard Cleveland sports fan. He has served on staff with Young Life for eight years, including the past five years as the Founder and Area Director of Fayetteville Young Life.

  • Bailey Griffin

    MINISTRY DIRECTOR

    Bailey is the backbone of this entire organization. As a dedicated co-founder, she has helped to establish the infrastructure for everything that is Fayetteville Young Life. When she’s not being a girl boss, she’s running around the city with her family on the hunt for a unique vintage t-shirt and a good iced latte.

  • Taylor Long

    NEXT GEN INNOVATION DIRECTOR

    Taylor is full of energy and passion. She loves a good book, and she’s seen every single movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She is always looking for ways to innovate, and she is one of the most loving people you’ll ever meet.

we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.

Now, more than ever, kids need adults who are willing to invest in them. This starts with people like you – a group of adults in it with them emotionally, spiritually, and financially. We want to invite you to be a part of an intergenerational community that is serious about loving and mentoring our middle school, high school, and college aged friends.
